About the event
The Food Environment in Transitioning Economies (FETE) project will host a two-day Food Environment Research Symposium from Thursday 21 August to Friday 22 August 2025 at the University of Nottingham Kuala Lumpur Teaching Centre (KLTC), Malaysia. This symposium is strategically scheduled during the Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) Programme to maximize the presence of PhD students and keynote speakers from FETE project partner countries - who will be joined by researchers, practicioners and PGR students from across the globe. The event will serve as a platform for sharing cutting-edge research on food environments, fostering collaboration, and building networks among emerging scholars in the field.
Participants will present their research on various aspects of the food environments. The symposium will encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, enabling students to gain new perspectives on their work and explore the broader implications for public health and policy.
