About the event
The DTP Programme:
The Food Environment in Transitioning Economies (FETE) research project will run a 2-month Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) Programme from the 1st of July to the 29th of August 2025. This programme, hosted by University of Nottingham Malaysia in collaboration with partner institutions in Malaysia, Germany (Thünen Institute), Ghana (the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-STEPRI), South Africa (University of KwaZulu-Natal and Tanzania (Sokoine University of Agriculture), will bring together PhD students from these countries to receive systems thinking and transdisciplinary research training in food systems and in particular food environment research. With a strong emphasis on international and interdisciplinary exposure, the programme aims to develop independent research leaders who can address the complex challenges of food environments in transitioning economies.
